Songbook Academy holiday concert returns Dec. 22
The Great American Songbook Foundation invites audiences to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with the return of Songbook Academy Sings the Songs of the Season, a cabaret-style holiday concert featuring alumni of the Songbook Academy®. Performances will take place at 4 and 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at the Payne & Mencias Palladium at Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts.

The Indiana Repertory Theatre opens Marie and Rosetta, presented by Corteva Agriscience, October 28 – November 23 on the Janet Allen Stage. Written by George Brant and directed by Cristina Angeles, this magnetic play with music unearths the roots of the fearless “Godmother of Rock ’n’ Roll”, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, and her wide-eyed protégée Marie Knight, as they begin their revolutionary ascent to become one of the most influential teams in music history.
