There’s no better way to step into the holiday spirit than by surrounding yourself with two million twinkling lights — and only at Winterlights presented by Bank of America can guests literally immerse themselves in the glow of the season inside a larger-than-life glittering ornament. The beloved Newfields tradition returns from November 21, 2025, through January 4, 2026, inviting families and friends to bundle up and bask in the warmth and wonder of The Garden on a chilly winter night.
This year’s event marks nearly a decade of Winterlights, and it promises both cherished favorites and dazzling new experiences. Returning highlights include the Landscape of Light, Twinkling Trail, and the ever-popular Culinary Campsite — where crackling firepits, s’mores kits, and giant cookies make for a cozy evening under the stars. Visitors can sip spiked cocoa or cider with Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey or peppermint vodka, enjoy a Winterlights-inspired Electric Reindeer brew from Sun King Brewing Co., or warm up with Ash & Elm Cider Co.’s spiced plum cider.
Inside the historic Lilly House, guests will discover the Styled for the Season exhibit presented by LINNEA. The space transforms into a holiday dreamscape with whimsical Dickens Villages from The McCaw Collection, the scent of freshly baked gingerbread, and artfully festive décor.
“Bank of America is committed to supporting community initiatives that meaningfully connect us and enable us to share uplifting experiences,” said Andy Crask, President of Bank of America Indianapolis. “Newfields is one of Indy’s local treasures, offering cultural experiences that enrich our community. We’re proud to support Winterlights, a cherished holiday event where families and friends can celebrate the holiday season together.”
Jonathan Wright, Ruth Lilly Director of The Garden and Fairbanks Park, echoed the excitement: “We are celebrating almost a decade of Winterlights this year, and our guests have come to know and love the tradition and make magical memories in The Garden during the holiday season. This year, visitors will experience old favorites like the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s performance on Landscape of Light, alongside some sparkling new additions.”
The Wintermarket sponsored by Marian, Inc., and The Museum & Garden Shop will once again offer thoughtful gifts for everyone on your list — from local artisan crafts to holiday décor — with proceeds supporting Newfields’ mission.
In addition to nightly displays, Winterlights will feature themed celebrations and community partner nights, including:
• Monday, November 24: Indy Pride Night
• Friday, November 28: 35th Anniversary Film Screening of Home Alone
• Monday, December 1: Kwanzaa with the Indianapolis Kwanzaa Committee
• Monday, December 15: Latkes and Lights with the Jewish Federation of Greater Indianapolis
• Tuesday, December 16: Las Posadas with Arte Mexicano en Indiana
• Sunday, January 4: Dog Night
Tickets go on sale October 16 at 11 a.m. for Newfields Members and October 21 at 11 a.m. for the public. Prices start at $26, with Members always receiving the best rate. Children five and under are free.
With twinkling lights, festive treats, and heartwarming community spirit, Winterlights continues to shine as Indianapolis’ most enchanting holiday tradition — a place where art, nature, and the magic of the season come together.
