Indianapolis Men’s Chorus Announces 36th Season: “One Chorus. One Community. A Year of Music That Moves

The Indianapolis Men’s Chorus (IMC) has unveiled its 36th season, One Chorus. One Community. A Year of Music That Moves., featuring an inspiring lineup of concerts and events that celebrate connection, community, and the transformative power of song. The 2025–2026 season will include two mainstage concerts, a landmark collaboration with the Purdue Varsity Glee Club, a lively outdoor Pride Month performance, and the much-anticipated return of IMC’s signature gala, The Big Gay Prom.

“This season is all about connection — between singers and audiences, between tradition and new energy, and between communities across our state,” said Stephen McCoy, Executive Director of the Indianapolis Men’s Chorus. “Each concert highlights the power of harmony — literally and figuratively — to bring people together.”

2025–2026 Season Highlights

The Holiday Show: December 19–21, 2025 | Warren Performing Arts Center - IMC’s beloved holiday concert returns to spread cheer with a mix of festive favorites, moving choral works, and joyful surprises. A cherished Indianapolis tradition, this performance brings together audiences of all ages to celebrate the warmth and wonder of the season.

Special Performance: IMC & Purdue Varsity Glee Club - February 15, 2026 | Scottish Rite Cathedral Theater- Two of Indiana’s most celebrated vocal ensembles share the stage for one unforgettable afternoon of music and harmony. The Indianapolis Men’s Chorus joins forces with the Purdue Varsity Glee Club for a dynamic performance filled with energy, excellence, and the spirit of collaboration — all set in the majestic Scottish Rite Cathedral Theater.

What Happens in Vegas

April 17–19, 2026 | Warren Performing Arts Center - Get ready for a show-stopping, high-energy celebration of all things Las Vegas. Backed by the Dan Nix Big Band, IMC channels the glamour and excitement of the entertainment capital of the world, performing everything from Rat Pack classics to swing-era showstoppers — complete with dazzling vocals and spectacular staging.

The Big Gay Prom: Enchantment Under the Sea

May 8, 2026 | Scottish Rite Cathedral- IMC’s popular fundraising gala returns, blending nostalgia and fantasy with an ’80s-inspired prom-meets-underwater theme. The event includes dinner, live music, chorus performances, and both live and silent auctions. The Big Gay Prom supports IMC’s mission while uniting the community for an evening of celebration, inclusivity, and fun.

Pride on the Lawn: Your Summer Soundtrack

June 5, 2026 | Taggart Amphitheater - Presented in partnership with the Indy Parks Monumental Concert Series, this free outdoor concert celebrates Pride Month with upbeat music and a vibrant summer atmosphere. The event underscores IMC’s ongoing commitment to visibility, inclusion, and community engagement.

“The IMC continues to grow as one of Indiana’s leading arts organizations, using music to celebrate diversity and strengthen community,” said Greg Sanders, Artistic Director. “This season captures that perfectly — from beloved traditions to brand-new collaborations.”
