The Indy Arts Council, central Indiana’s leading arts advocacy and services agency, today announced the 2025 ARTI Award winners and performers ahead of its annual Start with Art event on Thursday, August 21 from 3-5 p.m. at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.

Thomas has big plans for central Indiana’s leading arts advocacy and services agency, including expanding its financial resources and making its role in the local cultural scene as profound as Visit Indy’s is for tourism and the Indiana Sports Corporation’s is for athletics.

This summer, a towering tribute to one of Indianapolis’ most beloved figures will take shape in the heart of the city’s vibrant Mass Ave district. South Bend artist Nate Baranowski has been selected to create a large-scale mural honoring WNBA legend and Naismith Hall of Famer Tamika Catchings.
