Indianapolis Children’s Choir to Host ‘Touch of Red’ Gala for Ruby 40th Anniversary

The Indianapolis Children’s Choir (ICC) will be decked out in red for its annual fundraising gala event on October 24 at the Ritz Charles in Carmel, and the public is invited to join in on the festivities. This year’s ICC Gala will be aptly themed for their 40^th anniversary, A Touch of Red, with a nod to the traditional ruby anniversary gift.

“This is always one of our largest fundraisers of the year,” shares Joshua Pedde, the ICC's Executive Artistic Director. “This Gala will be extra special as we look back at the past 40 years and raise funds to continue our music education legacy for many more years to come.”

Guests can expect an evening packed with a silent auction of thoughtfully crafted baskets from choir members and local business merchandise, photo ops, a whiskey pull, live entertainment, themed food items, and a signature cocktail and mocktail, the Scarlet Serenade and Rhapsody in Rouge. ICC singers will make the evening even more magical, as they tell their personal stories to guests and also present a live performance.

The fundraising goal this year is $70,000, and funds raised will go directly towards the ICC’s programs and outreach, which include barrier-reducing initiatives to ensure that all children have access to the quality music education for which the organization is known. Currently, the ICC serves about 2,000 children from 18 months to 18 years old through multiple choirs and programs throughout central Indiana.

“The Gala helps fund so much that we do to make sure that more children can experience music with the ICC,” explains Pedde. “Our Neighborhood Choir Academy, our Day of Song Events, our financial assistance program – they all become possible when an event like this is successful and that means that more kids get to sing and learn with us. And that’s our biggest goal of all, to help kids find their place and sing.”

Tickets for The ICC Gala – A Touch of Red are available to the public and are on sale now. Individual tickets are $125, and include hors d’oeuvres, dinner, beer and wine, and the evening of musical programming. Tables of 8 are also available for $1,000. The deadline to purchase a ticket or a table is October 10, 2025. The evening event will include a reception, dinner, a silent auction, and of course, singing.
