Community encouraged to donate gently used clean coats, hats and gloves to benefit Kids Coats Hamilton County
As part of its local impact initiative and ongoing efforts to give back to the community, Fishers Event Center is encouraging the community to donate their gently used clean coats, hats and gloves during its Coat Drive benefiting Kids Coats Hamilton County. All sizes, infant through adult, are needed.
WHEN & WHERE: Tuesday, September 16 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Fishers Event Center (11000 Stockdale St., Fishers). Bins will be placed outside at the Community Health Network Entrance (Kids Coat signage will be visible upon arrival to direct towards this entrance).
About Kids Coats Hamilton County: Kids Coats provides gently-used winter coats to families in Hamilton County, Ind., at no charge. We are different from other coat distributions in that we take the coats to where the people live! We partner with local churches in Hamilton County. Central Indiana organizations join us to connect families to other opportunities available to them at little or no cost.
How do I get a coat for my child? Online Appointment sign-ups for Kids Coats Hamilton County’s November Giveaways begin in August each year. The deadline for online registration is October 15. If you miss registration, or cannot make it to any of the November giveaways, you can still get a coat until the end of winter at the Merciful HELP Center. All Merciful HELP Center visitors will need a coat appointment.
Can adults get coats too? Adults aged 20 and older also can receive coats during walk-in times after the kids have shopped or at the Merciful HELP Center.
