Harvest Nights at Newfields

This fall, Newfields will once again transform its 52-acre Garden into a glowing autumn wonderland as Harvest Nights presented by Everwise Credit Union returns from September 26 through November 2. Now in its sixth year, the Indianapolis tradition promises a mix of returning favorites and imaginative new experiences that capture the magic of the season.

Guests can stroll through the Pumpkin Path of Peril, hop aboard the eerie Ghost Train, and wander into the ever-popular Raven Orchard. Local artists bring this year’s “Thickets & Thorns” theme to life with larger-than-life Garden Monsters, supported by Corteva, that add a whimsical yet haunting flair to the grounds.

New this year is Mischief Manor, a fully reimagined haunted house experience featuring eleven enchanted rooms curated with the help of local creatives, including Color Story Studio, Zhuzh Home Styling & Improvements, Rue de Fleurs, and Indiana Paper Company. The Manor’s historic details will come alive with mystical characters, while upstairs, the Cutwater Lounge offers a 21+ experience with cocktails and seasonal drinks. Outside, projection mapping from Lightborne Communication brings Mischief Manor’s exterior to life in a dazzling finale.

Another new addition is the Fungi Forest, where more than 50 handmade, oversized mushrooms created by Kara Kent and Expo Design artists light up the night with bold colors and playful shapes. It’s an imaginative space designed to surprise and delight guests of all ages.

Harvest Nights also offers plenty of seasonal treats, from Bavarian crème churros and giant pretzels to the playful “vampire fries” tossed with parmesan and garlic. Seasonal beverages include Spooky Campfire Cocoa with Mash & Mallow S’mores Whiskey, craft cocktails, and fall beers like Elysian Brewing Co.’s Night Owl Pumpkin Ale.

“Spooky, not scary, fun for family and friends is around the corner,” said Jonathan Berger, Newfields Vice President of Marketing & External Affairs. “This year we embraced beloved elements from years past and put new twists on key elements that are going to become fast favorites.”

In addition to nightly festivities, several special events add to the lineup:

  • Garden Monsters: Thickets & Thorns – Sept. 26–Nov. 2

  • A Haunted Heist presented by audiochuck – Oct. 3

  • The Rocky Horror Picture Show Drag Performance with Indy Pride – Oct. 4

  • Eerie After Hours: 21+ Night – Oct. 10

  • Art or Treat Nights – Oct. 24 & 25

  • The Nightmare Before Christmas screening – Nov. 2

Tickets begin at $25, with flexible pricing throughout the season and free admission for children five and under. Early purchase is recommended for the best value.

Whether it’s pumpkins, projection-mapped ghosts, or a cocktail at the Cutwater Lounge, Harvest Nights at Newfields has become one of Indianapolis’ most anticipated fall traditions—a place where nostalgia, artistry, and a touch of spookiness come together for an unforgettable autumn night.
