This fall, hundreds of young students across central Indiana will experience the power of live symphonic music, thanks to the Carmel Symphony Orchestra (CSO) and the generous support of Glick Art.

On Monday, October 27, the CSO will perform two Music Matters concerts at the Payne & Mencias Palladium inside the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts. Designed specifically for fifth- and sixth-grade students, the interactive performances will immerse children in the sights, sounds, and stories of an orchestra—many for the very first time.

“By funding the Music Matters concerts, Glick Art continues to champion access to cultural experiences that enrich lives and strengthen communities,” said Marianne Glick, Founder and CEO of Glick Art.

For CSO leadership, the concerts represent more than just a day of music. “Thanks to Glick Art’s generosity, we can continue providing transformative live music experiences to children who might otherwise never have the chance to hear an orchestra in person,” said Nancy Sutton, CSO Board Chair. “This support allows us to inspire the next generation of musicians, patrons, and arts advocates.”

The Music Matters program is an extension of CSO’s mission to engage the community through outstanding musical performances, education, and outreach. Over the years, it has become a highly anticipated annual event for schools, blending entertainment with education while connecting music to history, culture, and creativity.

With Glick Art’s commitment, the Carmel Symphony Orchestra continues to ensure that the arts remain accessible, inspiring young audiences to embrace music as both a cultural treasure and a lifelong passion.
