Robert Goodman Jewelers and Amber Scheidler’s Artsy ALPS are bringing “Brick Street Pride” to life with a community mural project that begins at 10 am on Saturday, June 6.

A brand-new mural will be created on the south wall of the Goodman shop, located at 106 N. Main Street in the heart of Zionsville Village. Everyone who would like to participate in the mural painting is invited to don some old clothing (apparel you don’t mind getting messy!) and help bring this creation to life. All painting supplies will be provided, and all ages are welcome to participate.

“This project is rooted in the idea that diversity makes a community stronger, more creative and more connected,” said Amber Scheidler, aka Artsy ALPS, the force behind the Zionsville-based creative & event services venture of the same name. “We want this mural to be created by the community, for the community, and that’s why we’re inviting people of all ages and backgrounds to take part in its creation.”

The mural’s design fuses the Progress Pride flag with Zionsville’s iconic brick street.

Each painted brick will serve as a reminder that progress is something built together. “Different colors, stories, and perspectives all belong, and when they come together, they create something more vibrant and meaningful than any one ‘brick’ on its own,” Scheidler added.

Register to add your own artistic flair to the mural by visiting www.artsyalps.com and signing up for your personal painting period between 10 am and 2 pm. Rain date for the project is Sunday, June 7 at 3 pm.

“We’re looking forward to hosting members of our community for this mural painting party,” said Robert Goodman Jewelers co-owner Rose-Marie Goodman. “No experience is needed to lend a hand. This project is designed for everyone to jump in, so all ages are welcome. We can’t wait to contribute another piece of public art to our village, something fashioned by the community for the community.”
