The wait is almost over — it's nearly time to return to The Amphitheater for The National Bank of Indianapolis Summer Nights Film Series at Newfields. The 2025 lineup promises a delightful mix of timeless classics and modern favorites, offering audiences a chance to escape into beloved films surrounded by the lush woodlands of Fairbanks Park.

Guests are encouraged to arrive early, find the perfect patch of grass, and grab some popcorn before the sun sets and the movie magic begins. There's nothing quite like settling in as twilight falls behind the Indianapolis Museum of Art.

Tickets for the Summer Nights Film Series go on sale to Newfields members starting Thursday, May 1 at 11 a.m., and to the general public on Tuesday, May 6 at 11 a.m. It's a good idea to text a friend or block off a weekend night now to secure a spot and start building those unforgettable summer memories.

“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with Newfields as a sponsor of the Summer Nights Film Series — a beloved Indianapolis tradition that brings the community together for unforgettable evenings under the stars,” said Jill Robisch, First Vice President & Manager Nonprofit Services at The National Bank of Indianapolis. “This year, we are especially proud to have played a role in making the new screen possible, enhancing the viewing experience for all who attend. Supporting arts and culture is a cornerstone of our commitment to the community, and we are honored to help bring this vibrant summer tradition to life.”

On show nights, doors open at 7 p.m., with each film beginning at twilight. For added comfort, guests can upgrade to reserved seating, which includes a low-profile chair and a guaranteed spot on the middle tier — but reserved seating is limited, so act quickly if you’re interested.

Newfields is also offering Summer Camps for children and teens ages 6 to 17. Following the "Make a Movie" camp, where high school students learn the filmmaking process, their short film will premiere before the Summer Nights screening on July 18. More information about camps can be found at DiscoverNewfields.org.
