Gainbridge Arena transformed into a time machine of pure R&B and pop perfection as New Edition, Boyz II Men, and Toni Braxton delivered one of the most electrifying, joy-filled concerts Indianapolis has seen in years. From the opening moments, it was clear this wasn’t just a nostalgia tour—it was a masterclass in showmanship, vocal power, and hit-making legacy.

The night kicked off with a brilliant, high-energy surprise as New Edition and Boyz II Men opened the show together with a crowd-igniting medley of “We Going Out Tonight” and “Motownphilly.” The collaborative opener immediately set the tone for what would become a three-hour, hit-packed celebration of generations of R&B greatness. Instead of each act performing in isolated sets, the show smartly rotated between artists throughout the evening, keeping the energy constantly fresh and the audience locked in from start to finish.

Toni Braxton then took the stage, commanding the room with her signature sultry elegance. Her performances of “How Many Ways” and “He Wasn’t Man Enough for Me” were smooth, powerful, and effortlessly cool—proof that her voice remains one of the most distinctive and emotionally resonant in contemporary R&B. Every note felt intentional, every moment magnetic.

New Edition followed with a clever twist, weaving in songs from the members’ individual catalogs. Bobby Brown ignited the arena with the swaggering confidence of “Don’t Be Cruel,” which seamlessly led into Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Do Me” and “When Will I See You Smile Again?”—a sequence that turned Gainbridge Arena into one massive throwback dance party. The crowd was on its feet, singing along to every word.

Boyz II Men answered with a wave of romantic nostalgia, bringing the house to its knees with “I’ll Make Love to You,” as thousands of voices rose in unison. Moments later, Toni Braxton returned to deliver a breathtaking performance of “Un-Break My Heart,” soaring through the ballad with angelic intensity and emotional depth that reminded everyone why the song remains a timeless classic.

The concert hit its emotional and musical peak when Johnny Gill stunned the audience with a jaw-dropping rendition of “My My My,” before being joined by the rest of New Edition for an absolutely chilling version of “Can You Stand the Rain.” The energy never dipped as the group rolled into their ’80s classics “Candy Girl” and “Mr. Telephone Man,” sending waves of joy through longtime fans.

Boyz II Men then delivered a knockout one-two punch with “One Sweet Day” and “End of the Road,” creating one of the night’s most powerful singalong moments. The harmonies were pristine, the emotion palpable, and the crowd fully engaged—phones in the air, voices echoing through the arena.

The finale was pure celebration. New Edition rallied behind Bobby Brown for “Every Little Step” and “My Prerogative,” before closing the night with Bell Biv DeVoe’s “Poison,” turning Gainbridge Arena into a full-blown dance floor. It was the perfect high-energy sendoff to an already unforgettable evening.

The rotating format between acts was a stroke of genius, keeping the momentum high and the surprises constant. Rather than feeling like three separate concerts, the show unfolded as one seamless, epic R&B journey. It was joyful, emotional, and endlessly entertaining—a reminder of just how deeply this music is woven into our collective memories.

This wasn’t just a concert. It was an event. A celebration of legends. A night of voices, songs, and moments that will linger long after the final note faded. It’s a show I won’t forget any time soon.
