Indiana’s vibrant music scene continues to take center stage as the 2025–2026 Local Mix Music Series returns to the Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel. Formerly known as Live at the Center, the rebranded concert series showcases original music by talented Indiana-based artists across a wide range of genres—from blues and folk rock to R&B, ska, and jazz.

This year’s series will feature five performances at The Tarkington, located at 3 Carter Green. Each concert begins at 7:30 p.m. on a weeknight, offering audiences an affordable and accessible way to experience live local music. Tickets are just $10 for in-person attendance, while fans can also tune in via free livestreams and archived HD video on the Allied Solutions Center’s Facebook and YouTube pages.

The 2025–2026 Local Mix Music Series lineup includes:

King Bee & The Stingers (Blues/Soul)Thursday, August 7

Hailing from Bloomington, this six-piece band is making waves globally with their blues-infused soul sound. With singles distributed by Sony Orchard and airplay on hundreds of international radio stations, King Bee & The Stingers have built a devoted following. Their acclaimed 2023 album Don’t Move So Fast and the 2024 live release Live from the Slippery Noodle highlight the band’s gritty, emotionally charged performances.

The Wallow Hollows (Folk Rock)Thursday, September 11

Founded by songwriters Jonathan Hunter and Dakota Girton, The Wallow Hollows blend heartfelt lyrics with a dynamic folk rock edge. The band has played over 250 shows nationwide, including appearances at the famed Bluebird Café in Nashville. Their debut album Carry On (2023) introduced their rich sound to a wider audience, and new music is set for release in 2025.

Teresa Reynolds and the Slicktones (R&B/Soul)Thursday, January 22

Lead vocalist Teresa Reynolds brings the depth of her 14-year New York career—including stints with Gloria Gaynor and Central Park performances—to this soulful Indianapolis-based group. Joined by local musical powerhouses Mina Keohane, Poncho Hedrick, Matthew Dupree, and Joshua Ginder, the Slicktones deliver an energetic and polished R&B sound with deeply personal lyrics and powerful vocals.

The Operators (Ska/Reggae)Thursday, April 2

Blending high-energy punk influences with classic ska rhythms and bright horn arrangements, The Operators are a genre-bending collective of seasoned musicians from the Indianapolis ska/punk scene. Their recent album, Self-Titled Second Album (2024), released on Chicago’s JumpUp Records, showcases their signature style and infectious live energy.

Northside Exchange (Jazz/Funk)Wednesday, May 20

Founded in 2022, Northside Exchange is a rising force in Indiana’s jazz and funk circles. Led by guitarist/vocalist Joseph Filipow and drummer Darnell Perkins, and featuring keyboardist Daniel Hicks, the band has already shared the stage with jazz legend Branford Marsalis and appeared at the Carmel Jazz Fest. Their debut single “Steppin’” is currently streaming on all major platforms.
