Visit Indy recently held their annual State of Tourism event at which they announced a record-breaking year for tourism is Indianapolis. In addition to reviewing the accomplishments below, the organization also presented the Indiana Fever with the prestigious Bill McGowan Leadership Award. The presentation coincided with National Girls and Women in Sports Day, making the Indiana Fever the perfect recipients of the award.

Record-Setting Tourism Results 2024:

1. Attendance at Major Annual Events: Gen Con (71,000), Sweet & Snacks (1,000 exhibitors), Combine (27,200), and FDIC (36,500) 

2. Top 10 Days for Hotel Rooms Sold in History of Indy, 9 Set in 2024: including National Eucharistic Congress, Eclipse, Gen Con, Taylor Swift

3. Air Traffic at IND: 10M Passengers 

4. Future Convention Booking Pipeline: 3.94M Hotel Room Nights 

5. Convention Bookings: 932K Hotel Room Nights

6. Traffic to VisitIndy.com: 5.56M Website Sessions 

7. Earned Media Exposure About Indy as a Destination: 4,076 Stories/Reports/Segments
