After a pair of sold-out performances of a music-focused play at Indy’s Chatterbox Jazz Club, SiteLines Indy returns to the popular venue for the March 29 world premiere of Going Solo, or Another Song that Isn’t about Danny Koppel. The play by Indianapolis playwright Lou Harry features original songs by local singer-songwriter Cara Jean Wahlers, who will perform live.

The latest in Harry’s series of plays set in Wildwood, NJ, Going Solo asks “Can you go home again if you’ve had a glimpse of fame … and are now performing in a bar for two people ... specifically that guy you made out with once in high school and the bartender who won’t stop believing in you?”

Featuring well-known Indianapolis-based actors Hannah Elizabeth Boswell, Chris Saunders and Zachariah Stonerock, the production is directed by Harry.

In September of 2024 and March of 2025, SiteLines Indy sold out performances of Warren Leight’s Side Man at the Chatterbox, presenting it with a live jazz combo.

Developed by Lou Harry and John Thomas – also the creators of Going … Going … Gone, the Live Auction Comedy – SiteLines Indy is a theater production company dedicated to staging plays in locations that resonate with their themes and settings. Previous productions were staged at locations including Hilbert Circle Theatre, the studios of WFYI and Indiana Landmarks Center.

The Chatterbox proved to be the perfect venue for shows about musicians. “Our audiences have loved the intimacy and authenticity of the Chatterbox,” said Thomas. “You can’t ask for a better ‘set,’ especially when the performance includes live music.”
