Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library Honors Bob & Tom with Kurt Vonnegut Humor Award at Night of Vonnegut Gala

The Kurt Vonnegut Museum and Library (KVML) is proud to announce that legendary radio personalities Bob Kevoian and Tom Griswold of The Bob & Tom Show will be honored with the Kurt Vonnegut Humor Award at this year’s Night of Vonnegut Gala.

“The Bob & Tom Show has long been a staple of Indiana and American comedy,” said Julia Whitehead, Founder & CEO, KVML. “Their ability to blend humor, satire, and sharp observation reflects Vonnegut’s belief in the power of laughter to illuminate truth.”

The Kurt Vonnegut Humor Award celebrates individuals whose wit, satire, and storytelling embody the spirit of Indianapolis native Kurt Vonnegut. Bob & Tom have entertained millions of listeners nationwide for decades, bringing laughter, cultural commentary, and irreverent humor to mornings across America.

Comedian, and KVML Board Member, Dwight Simmons states, “For over 40 years, The Bob & Tom Show has used their platform to introduce up-and-coming comedians to a broader national audience. In a Vonnegut-like fashion, they utilize satire and dark humor to shed light on American society and the absurdities of life. Because of their work, our world feels a little lighter and our mornings are a lot more funny.”

The Night of Vonnegut Gala is KVML’s signature annual event, bringing together supporters, readers, and cultural leaders to celebrate Vonnegut’s enduring literary legacy and the museum’s mission to champion free expression, creativity, and humor.
