The Indianapolis Children’s Choir (ICC) is ringing in the holiday season with song and extra celebratory flair for their 40th Anniversary Concert Season, sponsored by Everwise Credit Union. The choir will perform at many community events and performances in addition to hosting concerts that ICC singers alone will headline. The four ICC-only holiday concerts will focus on the choir’s history and some of the classic songs that have become favorites for audiences and singers alike.

“’Holiday Memories’ was chosen as the theme for our concerts this year. We will look back at the influence of holiday songs and traditions over the past 40 years,” explains Joshua Pedde, Executive Artistic Director of the ICC. “These ICC performances sell out, and that tells us that singing is a beloved custom at this time of year. During the holidays, no matter your culture, you can really see the impact of song. And for the ICC, all our singers, from the youngest kindergarteners to adult ICC alumni, come together to create something special and heartwarming for everyone.”

The choir’s own performances will take place at the historic Second Presbyterian Church in Indianapolis and will feature fan favorites like “Carol of the Bells,” “Let it Snow,” and other classics. Audiences can also expect some magical touches as they await entering the concert venue, with special refreshments and surprises prior to the music beginning.

In addition, the ICC will sing at more than 40 different community events, ranging from productions of the Nutcracker to caroling at holiday markets.

“The holiday season is one of our busiest times, but also one of the most joyous. For the ICC to be called upon for so many important civic events is always an honor,” shared Pedde. “We are proud to be a part of so many things during the holiday season, especially in the lives of own community members.”
