Celebrate the Kentucky Derby on May 6 with two events at Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library in Indianapolis
Enjoy family-friendly activities during the day, and stay for live music and a 21+ party for the race!
WHAT: Make the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library your Old Kentucky Home this year with two great events to celebrate the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 6!
• Family Derby Day 11-4 p.m.: Featuring FREE admission to the museum along with fun, family-friendly activities including children's hat making, and educational booths dedicated to learning about horse therapy and the diverse history of the Kentucky Derby. The Garnacha Spot and Books Bourbon & Bacon food trucks will be on site.
• *Kentucky Derby Party 4-9:30 p.m.: Guests 21+ are invited to stay for the Kentucky Derby Party! Purchase individual tickets on a horse for $5, or get five tickets for $20 (no limit to number of ticket purchases). Place your bets and watch the Derby to see who wins! Bring your best hat for the Fancy Hat Contest, and stay after the race for a concert by Sarah Grain and the Billions of Stars.
*This is a 21+ event. Refreshments will be available for purchase. VIP Upgrade includes one drink and a souvenir glass.
