Indy Dance Council is excited to announce a brand new program celebrating some of the incredible young artists that make up Indy’s vibrant dance community.

On June 7th, 3pm, this free event will feature performances from Kids Dance Outreach, Samyoga School of Dance, Metropolitan Youth Ballet, Dance Kaleidoscope School, Academy of Dance Arts, and iibada Dance Company. Children ages 5-12 are invited to participate in a movement workshop onstage immediately following the performance led by Paul Appleman, a former Houston Ballet artist pursuing his doctorate in Occupational Therapy at the University of Indianapolis - no experience necessary!

This performance is intended to provide space for different young dancers from across the city to share their talent, celebrate dance, and support each other in a non-competitive environment. We hope the event can offer these young artists a shared experience that demonstrates the value of bringing communities together through a common passion and belief in what we can create together.

Future in Motion will take place in the Central Library’s Clowes Auditorium (40 E St Clair St) on Sunday, June 7th at 3pm. The event is free, but registration is preferred. Register here.

This program is generously supported by Glick Philanthropies and the Indianapolis Public Library.
