Indianapolis Children’s Theatre (ICT) is dedicated to inspiring young minds through the power of live performance. Our mission is to create high-quality, professional theatre for young audiences while advancing literacy, empathy, and creativity.

At ICT, we believe theatre is more than entertainment — it is a vital tool for learning and connection. Through engaging productions and educational programming, we support literacy development, nurture empathy, and provide children with opportunities to see themselves and others more clearly. Our work is rooted in the belief that every child deserves access to meaningful artistic experiences, regardless of background or circumstance.

Serving children and families across Central Indiana, ICT is committed to building a vibrant, inclusive community where stories come to life and young voices are celebrated. From first-time theatre-goers to aspiring young artists, we strive to create a welcoming space where all children can explore, grow, and belong.

Our vision is to become Indianapolis’s leading professional theatre dedicated exclusively to young audiences, recognized for artistic excellence, educational impact, and equitable access. Through collaboration with schools, families, and community partners, we aim to shape the next generation of creative thinkers, compassionate individuals, and engaged citizens.
