That magical moment is quickly approaching where one lucky child will have the opportunity to “flip the switch” at the Downtown Indy, Inc. Circle of Lights® presented by IBEW 481 on Friday, Nov.  29. Children ages 3 – 12 can enter the IPL Coloring Contest, which runs now through Nov. 18, by decorating the official coloring sheet of a large holiday light bulb.

Indianapolis Power & Light Company (IPL) and Downtown Indy, Inc. invite children from all over Indiana to participate. Once again, five $529 CollegeChoice 529 Direct Savings Plans will be awarded to five finalists, based on creativity. Additionally, one grand prize winner will appear on stage with Santa to help light the Monument.

“IPL is thrilled to sponsor the Coloring Contest again, giving children all across the state of Indiana an opportunity to take part in the Circle of Lights lighting ceremony,” said IPL president and CEO Vincent Parisi. “We are committed to partnerships that are welcoming to all and dedicated to making a difference where we live, work and serve.”

Print coloring sheets at IPLPOWER.COM/COMMUNITY or WWW.DOWNTOWNINDY.ORG/COLORING. The sheet will also be available in the IndyStar Nov. 3, 7 & 10.
