ICO Announces Concert with Live & Virtual Audiences (Hybrid) on January 30, 2021

Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra (ICO) announces hybrid performance with live and virtual audiences beginning with “Happy Birthday Mozart” on January 30, 2021 at 7:30 PM.

The Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra concert led by music director and conductor, Maestro Matthew Kraemer, will present a concert with a limited live audience on January 30th at Clowes Memorial Hall. Other concerts in 2021 with hybrid access are Classic American on April 24 and Piazolla Centenary on May 15.

Norman Krieger, pianist, joins the ICO for Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 24 in c minor, K491. The LA Times hails that “Krieger owns a world of technique – take that for granted. He always knows exactly where he is going and what he is doing. He never for an instant miscalculates. He communicates urgently but with strict control. He is alert to every manner of nuance and at every dynamic level his tone flatters the ear.”

In an evening that celebrates Mozart’s 265th Birthday (January 27), the ICO will also present Mozart Symphony No. 39 in e flat minor, K593, and a contemporary work by Ibert “Hommage a Mozart.”

The concert will be recorded by WFYI for customers who choose the virtual ticketing option. Virtual ticket holders will receive a direct link for the concert in the days following the concert and have 30 days to watch before it expires. The ICO encourages audience members to learn more about the complete reopening plan and safety precautions for audience and musicians at https://www.icomusic.org/events/planning-your-visit/
