The Garden at Newfields will glow after dark when Harvest Nights, presented by Everwise Credit Union, opens today. The family-friendly experience runs through Sunday, November 1, offering a Halloween outing that is spooky without being scary.
This year’s menu brings heartier options to the seasonal event, including Old Major bratwursts and chili made with Fischer Farms beef. Guests can also try “Night Owl,” an exclusive pumpkin ale from Newfields’ beer partner, Elysian Brewing Co.
Several special events add to the Harvest Nights calendar. On Friday, October 9, Ghouls Night Out: 21+ invites adults to an evening of drag performances, dancing with a local DJ, costume contests, a candy apothecary and a photo booth. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 for members and $50 for the public, include Harvest Nights admission and must be purchased in advance.
Families can visit Art or Treat on Thursday, October 15, and Friday, October 16. During Harvest Nights hours, guests can follow a treat trail through The Garden, collecting sweets and surprises in a provided bag. Tents marked with a Teal Pumpkin will offer vegan and/or gluten-free treats. Costumes are encouraged, though full-face masks are not permitted. The trail closes at 10 p.m. and is included with a Harvest Nights ticket.
The Spooky Screenings film series will bring Halloween favorites, including Casper and Scream, to the Tobias Theater on select dates. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., films begin at 6:30 p.m., and tickets include admission to Harvest Nights after the screening. Film ticket prices vary.
Harvest Nights takes place at Newfields, 4000 N. Michigan Road in Indianapolis. Tickets start at $25; prices vary by date and may change. Newfields recommends buying in advance for the lowest available price, while members receive the lowest pricing.
