Join the Kurt Vonnegut Museum & Library for the 2026 Night of Vonnegut, our signature annual fundraising gala celebrating the life, legacy, and ideas of one of America’s most influential writers.

This year’s celebration is especially meaningful as our nation commemorates America’s 250th Anniversary, bringing together readers, writers, educators, artists, civic leaders, and supporters from across the country for an unforgettable evening dedicated to literature, humor, creativity, and common decency.

We are honored to present the 2026 Kurt Vonnegut Humor Award to Jordan Klepper, comedian, writer, and host of The Daily Show, whose work continues Vonnegut’s tradition of using humor to encourage thoughtful dialogue and challenge assumptions.
