This Halloween, Indianapolis audiences can trade haunted houses and bar crawls for an atmospheric evening of live music illuminated by thousands of flickering candles.

Candlelight: Halloween Classics comes to Indiana Landmarks on Friday, October 30, with performances at 6:30 and 8:45 p.m. Presented by Candlelight and Fever, the concert will feature Indianapolis-based musicians performing a program inspired by mystery, suspense and the supernatural.

The repertoire blends dramatic classical compositions with recognizable music from film, television and pop culture. Featured selections may include Charles Gounod’s “Funeral March of a Marionette,” Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Danse Macabre,” Modest Mussorgsky’s “Night on Bald Mountain,” Franz Schubert’s “Der Erlkönig” and Edvard Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King.”

The program may also feature the theme from Stranger Things, selections from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas and Michael Jackson’s “Thriller.” Programming is subject to change, and guests are encouraged to review the Indianapolis listing for the final set list.

Now presented in hundreds of cities around the world, the Candlelight experience was created to make live classical music more approachable by bringing it into distinctive settings illuminated by thousands of candles. Its Halloween edition adds a supernatural repertoire, transforming the traditional concert experience into something both elegant and haunting.

The immersive setting offers friends, families and coworkers a memorable alternative to the season’s more familiar activities. According to Fever’s Classical Pulse study, experiencing music in person is the primary motivation for 54% of classical concert attendees, while 35% of U.S. respondents actively seek unconventional and immersive ways to enjoy live performances.

Candlelight: Halloween Classics will be presented at Indiana Landmarks on Friday, October 30, at 6:30 and 8:45 p.m. Tickets start at $29.50 and can be purchased at feverup.com/m/665194.
