Brewfari Offers Halloween Fun for Adults Only

Joey Amato | September 22, 2020

While sipping delicious craft brews in the crisp autumn air, guests can unwind for an adults-only evening that benefits the Indianapolis Zoo’s animals and programs.

A popular fall fundraiser, now with a new name, Brewfari presented by Scarlet Lane Brewing Co. will take place from 7-11pm on Saturday, Oct. 3.

With exclusive after-hours access to the Zoo’s gorgeous grounds, attendees can stroll down the main pathway to sample offerings from 22 top breweries and cideries from Central Indiana and beyond. Tasting stations will be spaced apart to allow for social distancing, and hand sanitizer will be provided at each station. The Zoo’s eateries will also be open late, serving a variety of sandwiches, snacks and other fall favorites for purchase.

Additionally, guests can visit Pumpkin Town in the Bicentennial Pavilion to meet spooky creatures, like fancy rats and black cats, or visit some of their other favorite animals. Party goers can also get up close and interact with the species they’re supporting during additional chats and demonstrations.

In the Ascension St. Vincent Dolphin Gallery, guests can gaze into the beyond during free psychic readings. Plus, DJ Lockstar will provide music all night long under the Bicentennial Pavilion.

Costumes are encouraged, and the best-dressed guests can compete in a wild costume contest. Along with any costume masks, all guests are required to wear face coverings when entering the Zoo, in all indoor areas and outdoors when social distancing is not possible.

Tickets for Brewfari are $60 per person and all guests must be 21 or older. Additionally, guests are urged to take their temperatures and perform health checks before coming to Brewfari.

This vibrant evening of fun and philanthropy, hosted by the Indy Zoo Council, also helps to fund the care of the Zoo’s nearly 1,300 animals and 47,000 plants as well as its global animal conservation initiatives. Founded in 2011, the Council is comprised of emerging community leaders who are dedicated to supporting the Zoo and its mission of protecting nature and inspiring people to care about our world. Since 2013, the Council’s signature fundraising events have raised more than $500,000 for the Zoo.
